Director of Academic Accreditation


Robertís responsibilities as Director of Academic Accreditation include providing technical and advisory support to the education management and academic accreditation committees in the areas of research, planning and program implementation.

He has spent most of his career in communications and strategic marketing as a veteran broadcast producer, director, and journalist. As Chair of the Creative Arts department (CreComm, Graphic Design, Digital Multimedia & Library IT) at Red River College - Manitobaís largest post-secondary institution - Robert worked with all levels of administration and support services including government bureaucrats, deputy ministers and deans at universities and colleges across North America. His strategic initiatives and public-private partnerships with Sony, Ross Video, Apple, Advance Electronics, OMT Media Touch, TR Labs, the National Research Council, and Western Economic Diversification were integral in developing the collegeís new state-of-the-art downtown campus facility.

Robert also revamped the 2-year diploma and 4-year degree curriculum for Creative Communications (with majors in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising) and developed new curriculum for CreCommís Broadcast Production major and 2-year Digital Multimedia Technology diploma program in collaboration with industry professionals, academic support teams, and college management. He also refocused the Advertising Artís 2- and 3-year diploma programs to more accurately fit the industry's accreditation standards of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC).
